There are 1,777 hospitals and medical institutions in Korea that attract foreign patients; 1,095 of these institutions are located in Seoul. Seoul accounts for 61.6% of all foreign medical tourism to Korea. In 2021, 49.8% of all foreign medical tourists to Korea received their treatments in Seoul. Seoul is a medical hub that stands shoulder to shoulder with other major urban centers in Asia and the Americas.
