The Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital was established with 1,014 beds by the Ewha Womans University Medical Center after establishing “Bogunyeogwan (house for many sick women),” the first women’s hospital in Korea. The hospital offers a pleasant environment to patients while reducing the risk of infection by introducing the three-patients-per-room system to university hospitals in Korea and transforming all severe patient rooms into one-person rooms. The hospital focuses its treatment system on its centers, including the cardio-cerebrovascular center, cancer center, organ transplantation center, joint and spine center, and gastrointestinal center. The hospital also increased patient convenience by separating the flow of movement between the medical staff and patients, connected to Balsan Station on Line 5, and located itself near Gimpo International Airport. Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital also has an outstanding medical staff, cutting-edge facilities, and a swift and convenient treatment system.
